Just got back from Bali and it was damm shiok! Haha..the beach was killing, the blondes even better, booze cheap and shopping was great!! =) havent enjoyed myself for ages already, am super pleased...hahaha esp all my acquisitions from Bali, all branded and cheap! Initially i thought Bali as some rural little island which had been long forgotten by society. And how wrong i was, the nites there are illumed by the many neon lights which litter the streets. Loud music blast from the pubs which flank the sides of streets and party goes on and on till 8 every morning!! Durig the day, the beach seems ever so welcoming, the golden sunrays, splashing waves, crystal clear water and fair sand make it really a tanning paradise..haha not forgetting the blondes also. Yah but anyway tried diving there, really an eye opener. Didnt really go down very deep but was really fascinated by the marine world which seems all so quaint and effervescent at the same time. We even brought little slices of bread to feed the fishes. It was quite cool to have fishies swarming around you nibbling at the bread crumbs at the tips of your fingers. Michelle even caught some starfishes there...but really was an eye opener! haha..hopefully i can try it again.. Booze was freaking cheap as well, they had local produce there called bintang beer. It went for like one buck per bottle, even cheaper than a can of coke!! Taste was crap though, it tasted worse than tiger and was bloody dilute..but then again one buck for kicks aint that bad..haha. Though the food there was crap, the shopping was killing! The surf brands were much cheaper than Spore lah, the ripcurl, quiksilver were maybe 30-50% less then flash n splash. Bought lotsa surf stuff..haha am soooo happy! I got like 3 pairs of boardshorts and some singlets. I even got this polo ralph lauren tee for $10! And im not shitting you man, and confirm its not a fake cos i got it straight from the polo boutique. The little roadside stores there were also brimming with funny little anklets, necklaces, apparel which you could get for damm low prices. Came across this store which did dreadlocs, they charged only like $2!!!! Too bad my hair was too short, or id definitely have done it! But i guess what struck me most was the quality of life there. The people seem laid back, friendly and nice. It seems like they lived lives devoid of worries or reservations...Haizz..wished i could live in such paradise... Anyway all in all, i really loved the place. Think im oging back in Jun to try out more diving and wakeboarding as well. Dunno..haha..but i seem to have gotten hooked onto sea sports, they just seem to force adrenaline through my veins and push me into overdrive....
